Born in the populous city of Riga, Latvia, Eugene Preyl had a fate waiting for him across the globe that none could have imagined. When he was just four, Eugene's family took the bold step of immigrating to America. Settling in the charming town of Boston, Massachusetts, they began their new life. 

The Foundation Years

In the heart and hub of Boston, Massachusetts, spent his formative years witnessing the beauty of sturdily built homes and infrastructure that ignited a curiosity and passion for construction. Also, finding interest in water sports owing to the coastal nature of his hometown, Eugene joined the swim team at a young age. His commitment to the sport saw him rise to be recognized as one of the top ten swimmers in New England between the ages of 10 and 18. The inclusivity of sports and his educational pursuit at Boston's local high schools made him fall in love with the town, which he would later serve with his professional expertise.

From Student to Entrepreneur

Eugene was naturally drawn to a career that combined his love of the physical environment, problem-solving, and creating a tangible impact. Hence, he pursued a Bachelor's in Construction Management from the esteemed Wentworth Institute. His student days were marked by academic rigor, camaraderie, and the consolidation of his leadership qualities.

Post-graduation, Eugene commenced his entrepreneurial journey. He owned and operated a construction company for a decade, adding a robust portfolio of difficult yet successful developments under his belt. This period was integral in establishing his reputation as a hard worker and resilient businessman and setting the tone for his future endeavors.

Unceasing Growth

Eugene's craving for knowledge was insatiable, and his business acumen hinted that his journey did not stop at being a business owner. He saw an opportunity to use his skills in a novel and rewarding way by venturing into the consulting world. He thus switched over to establish EP Consulting, which, under his leadership, continues to impact Boston’s architectural landscape positively.

Leadership and Commitivity in Personal Life

Eugene's personal life tells a story of steadfast commitment. He's been married to his high school sweetheart, showing the same loyalty and dedication to her as he does to his work. As a father to a six-year-old son and a twelve-year-old lab, Eugene's nurturing side also gets a chance to shine. It is evident that leadership, commitment, and hard work are virtues he embodies professionally and personally.

A Man of Hobbies

Despite his work commitments, Eugene always finds time for his hobbies. His favorite pastimes include fishing and visiting the sauna. Having grown up in a coastal town, Eugene developed an affinity for fishing. The calmness that comes with fishing, its synergy with nature, and the satisfaction of a good catch encapsulates why Eugene treasures this hobby. Visiting the sauna, a practice instilled in him from his Latvian roots serves as a moment of rejuvenation and a link to his heritage.
